Functional Training

The best hour of your day starts with functional training!

All of our classes are fun and motivate you to achieve your goals. The workouts are written by owner and head coach Dan exclusively for Gold Coast Fitness and are tailored to our members.

Are you a beginner? No problem! We adapt the workouts in the classes to suit you individually, so that you can train safely and efficiently with us and have as much fun as the experienced athletes.

Sweat Class

In our boot camp-style sweat class , we get your entire body in full swing. This class spikes your heart rate, works every muscle and lets you sweat out your everyday life – without heavy weights or complicated exercises.

After a short warm-up, the class starts with full power – no shirt will stay dry. After the workout, all faces will shine with satisfaction.

  • Intensity:   high
  • Suitable for:   everyone who likes to train with high intensity and want to switch off quickly from everyday life.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics give you a lean strong body with abs of steel. Do you want to finally do your first pull-up or do you want to learn to walk on your hands? Do you want to work on your technique on the rings and finally get your first muscle-up? If you attend our gymnastics class regularly, you will improve quickly in the classic gymnastics and bodyweight exercises.

We train the whole range of gymnastics and always focus on achieving your personal goals: pull-ups, rope climbing, handstand also the muscle-up on the rings and bar. In addition to skill, strength and a strong core are required. The gymnastics classes also work on this in a targeted manner.

  • Suitable for:   everyone who wants to work on their gymnastics specific skills and strength.

Workout of the Day

Our “WoD” (Workout of the Day) consists of functional exercises covering the domaines of weight training and gymnastics complemented by cardiovascular conditioning for a high-intensity workout.

In every workout, you train with a variety of different equipment, e.g. barbells or dumbbells, kettlebells, the jump rope, box jump boxes, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, you ride on a stationary bike and also row or ski on an ergometer. You keep learning and training new things. For example, when did you last do a handstand or tried to climb a rope to the ceiling? You will experience a new fun way of training with us!

  • Intensity:   medium to high
  • Suitable for:   everyone who likes to train hard and focused, enjoys lots of variety and always wants to learn new things.

Mobility

In our mobility classes , we – off course – mainly work on mobility, but also on avoiding or reducing pain and injuries through targeted mobilizations. If you want to build strength, you need to be able to move well without any pain.

These classes take place between two WOD classes. It is up to you, whether you want to join them before or after (of course, you can also join the mobility class only). The focal points are tailored to the exercises of the WOD classes in order to prepare well for them or – if you come afterwards – to be able to mobilize the already well-circulated areas even more intensively.

In addition, you will also receive numerous tips, mobilizations and stretches that will help you to become more agile and less prone to injury over time.

  • Duration:   30 minutes
  • Intensity:   easy to medium
  • Suitable for:   everyone who values holistic mobilization of their body and wants to remain pain and injury free in the long term.

Speciality

Throughout the year we always offer special classes with a specific focus. From rowing to Olympic weightlifting and everything in between. This gives you insights into various techniques and sports that you have always wanted to try and that are also part of many WODs.
